psycho/geography was a changing exhibition of work curated by four artists, Rupert White, Nigel Ayers, Daryl Waller and Paul Chaney, with Steve Messam, using the collective name ‘GreenCube’.
The artists are all interested in exposing the deep psychological and political content inherent in the landscape and our experience of place. Though connecting with environmental issues, their work goes beyond the simple moral imperatives implied by the green agenda, and instead explores related areas of fantasy, desire and imagination.
